The 100 Best Products of 2005

Do you get tired of your slow computer? Well read this article on PC Worlds Top 100 Products of 2005. Ubuntu Linux (what I use INSTEAD of Windows) was rated #26! This is not bad considering it beat out Adobe Photoshop CS2, Windows Media Player version 10 and the iTunes Music Store! This is not just for "those nerds" anymore. This is ready for the masses now.

If anyone wants an alternative (and easy to use alternative) just let me know. There has got to be something to this.

Well Ladies & Gentlemen, Ubuntu Linux 5.04 was rated 26 on PCWorld.com's Top 100 Beat Products of 2005! This beat out such products as Adobe Photoshop CS2, WMP 10 and even the iTunes Media Store! For those of you that have been reluctant to switch, this Linux is not for "those nerds" anymore. This is everyday stuff now! "Breezy" version 5.10

For those of you using Ubuntu Linux this is a reminder that "Breezy Badger" release is set for Oct 13th and this new version is definitely worth getting.

I have been running the preview release on my notebook for a few weeks now and there are some features that I really enjoy. A few of these include newer versions of Gnome (very smooth!), more complete notebook support (on two notebooks I've installed it on), boot-up splash screen (also very smooth).
